Character's Name: Hotaru Tomoe
Series: Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon
Age: 14
Grade Level: Freshman
Character Type: Witch, although in the series Hotaru shows some seer-like abilities.
Backstory: Hotaru is a lonely girl who suffers from serious physical problems. She was in an accident at her father's lab where she and her father were the only survivors. Unknown to her, she should have died that day, but for the fact her father made a deal with a monster called Pharaoh 90 so she would live. She was never the same afterwards though, and she could never wear anything that showed much of her body because of the horrible marks that covered her as a result of the accident. Hotaru was shunned by her peers who teased her mercilessly because she was different and a shy loner. She could never do any physical activities because of the frailty of her body. Her father means the world to her, but he hasn't quite been the same ever since the accident and her mother died when Hotaru was young. Hotaru was given a pendant by her father to help with the frequent pain attacks she suffers from. She could do nothing to heal herself, but she had the odd ability to heal the wounds of others which was another factor in her being an outcast.
Hotaru came to St.Catherine's after finding out about its existence. She wanted a fresh start and wanted to learn about her gift, and hoped that this new school would be the perfect place for her.
